Paper
Wedding Cake
I
was inspired to create this by one of my favorite TV shows the Ace
of Cakes’ (Food Channel) and numerous Cake Challenges, also
on the Food Channel. This cake stands 5” tall and the base
is 4 3/’8” square.
The three-tier wedding cake has a solid base (Domtar papers –
Blue Ice color) with paper flowers, circles, and base stripe from
PDQ Vivid and Ocean Orange.
It is surrounded with pearl strands and sprinkled with single pearls.
The top features flowers with pearl centers.

Bird
House – Altered Spring Project
When I think of spring, I think of the return of colorful birds. So
I thought: what better spring project than decorating a little birdhouse.
The nice thing about a project like this is that you can use many
of your scraps. The border punch adds a little extra flair to it.
And of course, what birdhouse wouldn’t have a little cat hiding
behind it?!
Unfinished wood birdhouse, 4 ¼” tall x 3 ½”
wide x 1 ¾” deep.
Papers from PDQ Vivid (05-side a), Candy (2 side b, 3 paper 3, 4 side
b); Hot (2 side b); Yum (2 paper 2),
Yum - chipboard bird.&nb sp; Friskars and Martha Steward border
punches; Susan Branch rubber stamp (flower border), colored pencils
