Who
knew you could make jewelry out of scrapbooking supplies? Take a
look to see how you can transform chipboard into something that
looks like glass.
Materials
Required:
Yum
Chipboard Shapes
Baby Powder
Crystal Lacquer
Fine beading wire
Selection of green and blue beads
Hoop rings
Necklace closure
Method:
1.
Sprinkle some baby powder on a scrap piece of paper and rub back
of bird from Yum chipboard shapes in it to remove the stickiness.
2.
Cover front of bird in Crystal Lacquer and allow to set overnight.
This is what makes the bird look like glass.
3.
Measure and cut 2 pieces of wire leaving space for the hoop rings
and closure of the necklace. The length of these pieces of wire
will depend on how long you want your necklace to be.
4.
Secure hoop rings onto one end of each strand of wire by bending
them around the hoop rings and then string on the assorted beads
to each wire piece leaving space for the closure.
5.
Poke holes in each wing on bird and open hoop rings to attach bird
to necklace.
6.
Secure necklace closure.
